July 16th – Second Breakfast Book Club: 11am at Mary Ryan’s Book Shop in Milton. The book this month is A Shadow on the Glass by Ian Irvine.
July 21st – 2017 Dinner Dance Dinner Meeting: 7pm at Enoggera Bowls Club. Anyone interested in helping out with the organisation of the Dinner Dance is invited to attend. Dinner is available from the club kitchen for $12.
July 22nd -23rd – CONQUEST: 9am to 5pm at Park Regis North Quay. Peter as a local author and the BTF have been invited to attend.
August 20th – Second Breakfast Book Club: 11am at Mary Ryan’s Book Shop in Milton. The book this month is Odd and the Frost Giants by Neil Gaiman.
August 26th – ImaginExpo: 10am at the Logan North Library. Join a multitude of fan clubs and cosplayers in a day of high spirited hi-jinks and costumed fun.
September 3rd – Brisbane Tolkien Fellowship Annual General Meeting and Supanova Working Bee: 11am at the SCA Hall in Lutwych. Bring a plate of food to share, enthusiasm and readiness to participate.
September 17th – Second Breakfast Book Club: 11am at Mary Ryan’s Book Shop in Milton. The book this month is Wild Cards I by George R.R. Martin
September 23rd – 24th – OzComicCon: 9am to 6pm at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre. The BTF will not be running a stand but you may find some of our members wandering about, searching for the One Ring, Gollum, a Silmaril or just enjoying the weekend.
September 24th – It Comes in Pints Hobbit Day Celebration: Details to be finalised.
October 13th – Meet the Dwarves: 7pm at the Enoggera Bowls Club. Meet special guests Jed Brophy and Stephen Hunter before the Dinner Dance, with opportunities for signatures, photos and Q&As. Tickets will go on sale shortly.
October 14th – Annual Evening in Middle Earth Dinner Dance: 6pm at the Enoggera Bowls Club. Join us for a wonderful evening of fun, frivolity, Dwarves and Dragons. We’ll have a hearty dinner fit for Hobbits and plenty of displays and photo options. A photographer will be on hand to capture all of your wonderful new memories. Proceeds from the night go to support the important work of the Pyjama Foundation. Tickets on sale soon.
October 15th – Second Breakfast Book Club: 11am at Mary Ryan’s Book Shop in Milton. The book this month is i, Robot by Isaac Asimov
November 5th – Brisbane Tolkien Fellowship General Meeting: 11am at Peter Kenny’s Hobbit Hole in Stafford. Lunch first, followed by a meeting to discuss current and upcoming events and club business. If you’d like to attend, use the contact page or find us on Facebook.
November 10th -12th – Supanova Brisbane: 9am to 6pm at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre. The Brisbane Tolkien Fellowship will be running a stand and photo booth. We’ll have some special Middle-Earth products for sale, a terrific raffle running and a number of cosplaying staff to make your photos super special. All proceeds from the Photo Booth go to supporting the Pyjama Foundation.
November 19th – Second Breakfast Book Club: 11am at Mary Ryan’s Book Shop in Milton. The book this month is Magician by Raymond E. Feist.
