THE WORLDS BIGGEST TOLKIEN FAN

Peter Kenny is a retired teacher based in Brisbane who possesses one of the most significant personal collections of Tolkien memorabilia in Australia and the world. He has become a recognized authority in the field of Tolkien, and has shared his knowledge and love of Tolkien’s writing with adults and children around the world through a series of talks and presentations.

Peter has spoken at events including the 2012 Edinburgh Book Festival, Supa-Nova (Brisbane/Gold Coast), Return of the Ring (England), RingCon, (Bonn, Germany), and The Festival in the Shire (Wales).

Peter is also the Convenor of The Brisbane Tolkien Fellowship and Director of its charity, The Fortinbras Proudfoot Esq. Foundation, which fundraises for children’s literacy initiatives. All funds raised by Peter’s work and organised Fellowship events are donated to charity.

Peter Kenny’s passion lies in sharing the magical world of Tolkien with others through presentations and events at schools, libraries,

conventions and festivals. His extensive collection of memorabilia is
also available for display.

TALKS AND PRESENTATIONS

PRESENTATIONS can include slide show and video presentations, music, songs, cosplay, poetry, readings, stories and discussions. These presentations can be organised by Peter and the Brisbane Tolkien Fellowship, a group of passionate Tolkien fans and experts. Members offer a wide variety of knowledge and creative skills and are available for presentations in costume.

MADDIES HOBBIT HOLE

The world famous model hobbit hole (Maddie’s Hobbit Hole) was exhibited at The Queensland Museum during 2013 and is again available for display at major venues. The handmade tabletop model is based on Bilbo’s Bag End Hobbit Hole.
